A Season Of Joy
So many things that happen in the natural during the summer make us always think of joy. As I have reflected on this lately, about how much joy we sense in this season, God was reminding me about the return of joy that is coming, not just to my family, but to so many who have felt overwhelmed and burned out from the past few seasons. Everything seemed to happen all at once.
The sun energizes us and fills us with warmth as we spend time outside with friends and loved ones. Similarly, spending time in the presence of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit restores the joy that was lost. The joy that has felt so far away, the joy that you have longed to experience once again, will overtake you, bubbling up from deep within.
It’s that supernatural joy that only comes from Him, which can be our strength during hard seasons. We may not be promised that all our days will be full of sunshine and rainbows, but we are promised that our Comforter, our Savior, our Father is always with us.
The Gift of His Peace
25 “These things I have spoken to you while being present with you. 26 But the [g]Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you. 27 Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. 28 You have heard Me say to you, ‘I am going away and coming back to you.’ If you loved Me, you would rejoice because [h]I said, ‘I am going to the Father,’ for My Father is greater than I.
